Staterra investigated hydrological, hydraulic and geotechnical conditions to identify the causes and develop mitigation strategies. Our investigation spanned field work and in-house research, and included building additional monitoring wells and using drones to track the local topography. Determining the source of the debris meant performing hydrology and hydro-geology assessments, tracking groundwater table change, analysing the debris material itself and comparing real-time data to establish whether the cause was linked to earlier construction activity in the area.
