We are thrilled to announce that John David Lapinskas, a highly accomplished environmental engineer with over four decades of experience in the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors, has joined the Staterra team! John’s impressive career, extensive experience in Saudi Arabia, and dedication to sustainability make him a valuable addition to our company and our clients.
John is a recognised global expert in all aspects of the petroleum oil and gas sector (onshore and offshore) and is both a Chartered Chemist since 2006 as well as a Chartered Environmentalist since 2009.

John’s journey: a wealth of experience
John’s extensive experience spans the globe, having worked on projects in over 25 countries.
He has successfully added the offshore WTG renewable energy sector to his portfolio showcasing his adaptability and commitment to a sustainable future whilst maintaining a lifelong major commitment to the oil and gas industry.
John’s expertise lies in environmental & social impact assessments, management systems, regulatory compliance, and project development, from conceptual design to decommissioning.
Notably, John has accumulated substantial experience working on large-scale mega projects in Saudi Arabia with the construction of both the SATORP Refinery and Sadara Petrochemical Facility, both Al Jubail Industrial City II, making him well-versed in the unique environmental challenges and regulations of the MENA region.
