Staterra Welcomes Senior Environmental Consultant Tarek Yasser to the Technical Services Division

We at Staterra are absolutely thrilled to announce that Tarek Yasser – BSc Hons., MSc. has joined us as a Senior Environmental Consultant in our Environmental Services Division. This important new hire highlights Staterra’s rapid growth and our position as a leading environmental consultancy for complex projects across Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region.

Tarek brings over ten years of hands-on experience in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA).

He’s worked across many different areas, including oil and gas, industrial, medical, and energy. His expertise covers environmental compliance audits and due diligence assessments, all carefully aligned with both national and international standards.

Tarek has also led various environmental monitoring programmes at major sites. These include the Midor Oil Refinery, Ethydco Plant, and Zohr Gas Field in Egypt, as well as the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Royal Reserve in Saudi Arabia.

He’s a recognised expert in air dispersion modelling and quantitative impact assessment. Tarek is skilled at calibrating air quality monitoring stations and assessing how emissions affect surrounding areas. His dedication to green development is clear through his use of LEED and GSAS frameworks, and his work creating solid waste management plans.

Tarek’s Role at Staterra

As a Senior Environmental Consultant, Tarek will report directly to our Technical Director, John. He’ll mainly focus on the oil and gas sector, with some additional work in land development. Tarek will be our main expert for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), ensuring we excel at getting environmental permits (like ‘Permit to Construct’ and ‘Permit to Operate’) and that every project goes beyond standard compliance requirements.
