The need for speed: permitting a metal-recycling facility in Jubail.
A state-of-the-art metal-recycling facility couldn’t break ground without an RC environmental permit. We compressed the permitting package without compressing the analysis.
Al Qaryan Group planned to establish a state-of-the-art metal-recycling facility but faced a significant regulatory hurdle: the Royal Commission of Jubail required a comprehensive environmental study before granting the environmental permit needed to advance the project.
Without that approval, the development timeline stalled. The client needed rapid resolution while still meeting every compliance standard end to end.
We leveraged specialist knowledge of local permitting frameworks to design a comprehensive environmental package. The team conducted baseline assessments — air quality, noise, soil, and groundwater — and prepared three core documents: the EIA, the Permit Application Package, and the Environmental Emergency Response Plan.
The methodology prioritised efficiency through parallel task execution and continuous stakeholder engagement. Proven protocols and the right monitoring tech made it possible to keep both thoroughness and speed.
Working in tandem with close stakeholder oversight, the team obtained regulatory approval in record time. The accelerated delivery demonstrated that comprehensive environmental analysis need not compromise the project schedule.
